Whether it’s Democrat John Dingell (see video below) ultrawealthy securities and utility shareholder Warren Buffett, or dozens of studies describing how a carbon tax (spelled Cap & Trade) will be passed on to utility customers, one thing’s for sure: DEMOCRATS AND CAP AND TRAITOR REPUBLICANS HAVE DECLARED WAR ON THE POOR WITH CAP & TAX!

Billions of YOUR Tax Dollars Used as Congressional Bribes for Cap & Tax

Posted on July 1, 2009 by Donald Ferguson

The stories of Washington power broker pols using tax-funded bribes to hike taxes are oozing across the beltway…

From today’s Washington Times:

When House Democratic leaders were rounding up votes Friday for the massive climate-change bill, they paid special attention to their colleagues from Ohio who remained stubbornly undecided.

They finally secured the vote of one Ohioan, veteran Democratic Rep. Marcy Kaptur of Toledo, the old-fashioned way. They gave her what she wanted – a new federal power authority, similar to Washington state’s Bonneville Power Administration, stocked with up to $3.5 billion in taxpayer money available for lending to renewable energy and economic development projects in Ohio and other Midwestern states.

House Energy and Commerce Chairman Henry A. Waxman, California Democrat, included the Kaptur project in a 310-page amendment to the legislation unveiled at 3 a.m. Friday, just hours before the bill was to be debated on the House floor….(click here to read entire story)

Radical Enviro-Lobbyists Funneled Cash to Cap & Traitors

Posted on by Donald Ferguson

From Bucksright.com: The eight House Republicans who voted to pass the Cap and Trade legislation, creating the biggest tax in US history, may have been driven to the position by donations from environmental lobbyists according to a report in the Washington Examiner. Only 8 Republicans voted in favor of the measure, while 44 Democrats went against their party to vote “No.”

As reported, Rep. [Mark] Kirk of Illinois, for instance, was among the top 20 recipients of PAC donations from environmental groups in the 2008 election cycle. He received $1,000 from the League of Conservation Voters (PAC), $4,000 from Ocean Champions (PAC) and $4,000 from Republicans for Environmental Protection (PAC). In this same cycle Republicans for Environmental Protection also donated $4,000 in PAC funds to Rep. [Dave] Reichert.

The League of Conservation Voters and the Sierra Club have directed support toward the New Jersey Republicans who voted for the new regulations. Rep. [Frank] LoBiondo received $1,020 from the League of Conservation Voters (PAC) in the 2008 election cycle and $2,010 from the Sierra Club (PAC) in the 2006 election cycle.

The 8 Cap and Traitor Republicans are:

Mary Bono-Mack (CA) 202-225-5330
Mike Castle (DE) 202-225-4165
Mark Steven Kirk (IL) 202-225-4835
Leonard Lance (NJ) 202-225-5361
Frank LoBiondo (NJ) 202-225-6572
John M. McHugh (NY) 202-225-4611
Dave Reichert (WA) 202-225-7761
Chris Smith (NJ) 202-225-3765

Representative John McHugh is Barack Obama’s appointee as Secretary of the Army.  It remains to be seen what favors and earmarks have been promised to the other 7, in addition to the obvious financial gain for their campaigns from high-powered lobbyists, in exchange for their votes.

Greenpeace Admits Cap and Tax Won’t Fix a Thing

Posted on by Donald Ferguson

From Bucksright.com: Mary Katharine Ham notes that Greenpeace, the ultra-left Global Warming hoax hysterics, have come out in opposition to the massive Cap and Tax energy bill expected to be voted on in the House of Representatives today.

Greenpeace thinks the mammoth 1,200 – 1,500 page bill, the latest law being shoved through Congress on the premise that the world will end and things will never be the same if we don’t do it right now, is too soft.

Hey, we’ll take opposition where we can find it.

“This legislation sends a strong and unmistakable signal to the world that the United States is not yet ready to show the leadership necessary to reach a strong agreement at Copenhagen in December.  Already, we are seeing the impact of this signal as one country after another retreats from the aggressive targets needed to avoid catastrophic climate change.

We call on the Congress to reject this bill and begin immediate and urgent work on legislation that treats seriously the dire threat of climate change.  We call on President Obama to move beyond rhetoric and deliver on his commitments to “restore science to its proper place” and to lead the world in addressing climate change…”

There is still time for constituents of Congressman who appear on the list of Cap and Trade undecideds and leaners to hit the phones and fax machines and stop this monstrosity.

“Cap-and-Traitors”: The Secret Behind a few Republican “YES” Votes

Posted on by Donald Ferguson

I just got off the phone with our our Congressional insider contacts who seem to be saying that the scuttlebutt on the Hill is that at the 8 Republican “Cap -and-Traitors” from New Jersey who voted for the bill did so as a political favor for the NY/NJ-centric commodity and stock traders (as in Cap and TRADE) who throw a lot of money around.

enroneOne angle not being covered in the mainstream press is that Cap and Tax relies upon the lethal combination that brought us the mortgage mess: Wall Street traders + government bureaucrats.

This fits, as one of the entities that helped develop the Cap and Tax trading scheme was ENRON, and the “carbon credits” that will be supposedly traded on the open market (after they are doled out by government bureaucrats, of course) will be bought and sold by investment banker types who hail from companies like Bear Sterns and Goldman Sachs, and…

…WAIT A MINUTE. The carbon credits that are at the heart of “Cap and Tax” are going to be handled by market traders connected with big Wall Street firms and investment bankers? Hmmm… if I could just get my hands on some carbon credits byu contributing to the right Congressman, maybe I could use them to pay my mortgage…

SPIKED: EPA Report Refutes Man-Made Global Warming

Posted on by Donald Ferguson

What do you do with an EPA report that goes against the elites’ push to promote total domination of the individual via so-called Man Made Global Warming? Why, you spike it, of course.

But not so fast. Dr. Alan Carlin is fast becoming a national hero to we among the “deniers” and his report just points out how the Global Climate Change house of cards may only need a stiff wind and a healthy dose of outrage to come tumbling down. You can download the report here – and just as a teaser, one need not go past the first page to find gems like this one:

Spiked EPA Report

Spiked EPA Report Excerpt

Congressmen and Senators are in their home districts this week, which is why this is the perfect time to hammer them if they voted for (and didn’t read) the Cap & Tax Bill. While you’re at it, print the report and bring it with you, it’s much shorter than H.R. 2454. Very readable by comparison.

According to the report, temperatures are actually declining and yet CO2 levels are increasing and CO2 emissions accelerating. Dr. Carlin writes, “These inconsistencies are so important and sufficiently abstruse that in our view EPA needs to make an independent analysis of the science of global warming rather than adopting the conclusions of the [UN International Panel on Climate Change] and CCSP without much more careful and independent EPA staff review than is evidenced by the Draft TSP… If their conclusions should be incorrect and EPA acts on them, it is EPA that will be blamed for inadequate research and understanding and reaching a possibly inaccurate determination of endangerment. Given the downward trend in temperatures in 1998 (which some think will continue until at least 2030) there is no particular reason to rush into decisions based on a scientific hypothesis that does not appear to explain most of the available data.” qwipsv2r4m

More coming soon on the imaginary Man-Mad Global Warming scam.
