Vote on Baucus sham amendment, Inhofe EPA limits moved to Friday

Posted on March 31, 2011 by Donald Ferguson

Relentless in their campaign to drive up energy prices and maintain an iron grip on the White House, Gang Green’s multi-million dollar lobbyists pressured the White House today to further announce its opposition to an amendment by Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.) which would stop plans by Obama’s EPA activists to enact federally-mandated caps on carbon dioxide.

“The White House restated its opposition Thursday to GOP spending bill riders that would thwart administration environmental policies, comments that come amid rising fear among green groups that a budget deal could block climate change rules,” The Hill reports today.

“Gang Green jerked the puppet strings, and Obama’s mouth moved,” said American Tradition Partnership Executive Director Donald Ferguson.

Undeterred, ATP supporters have been calling the Senate all week to express support for the Inhofe amendment, and outright opposition to an attempt by Sen. Max Baucus (D-Mont.) to undercut with it an fake amendment that falsely claims to limit the EPA’s unchecked power.  Baucus, a Gang Green loyalist, hopes his amendment will allow vulnerable Gang Green puppets to falsely campaign as job supporters next year, as well as draw support away from the Inhofe amendment.

Faced with swarming opposition, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) has delayed a vote in hopes of fending off a challenge to unchecked bureaucratic power.

“American Tradition Partnership supporters and our allies have been burning up the Senate phone lines all week in opposition to Max Baucus’ sham of an amendment.  Harry Reid is delaying a vote because he doesn’t yet have sixty votes in favor of Baucus’ attempt to save EPA bureaucrats,” said Ferguson.

Call your senators right now at 202-224-3121.  Tell them to vote NO on the Baucus sham EPA amendment, and YES to the Inhofe EPA amendment.

Senate to vote this afternoon on Baucus sham amendment

Posted on March 30, 2011 by Donald Ferguson

The Hill reports this morning Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) has scheduled a vote this afternoon on an amendment by Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.) blocking an attempt by activists in the EPA from imposing federal caps on carbon dioxide, a radical power grab projected to destroy hundreds of thousands of jobs and send prices for food and energy even higher.

Reid has also scheduled votes this afternoon for Democrat “alternatives,” including a sham amendment by Sen. Max Baucus (D-Mont.) intended to give vulnerable allies of Big Green cover in their 2012 re-election campaigns.  The amendment purports to be an “exemption,” but only for selected employers, and it will likely be repealed once the election is over.

Baucus, a loyal puppet of Gang Green, is working to protect jobs in D.C.’s environmentalist establishment by destroying them in Montana.

There are only hours left until the Wednesday afternoon vote.  Call your two senators at 202-224-3121.  Tell them to vote NO on the Baucus sham amendment and YES on the Inhofe EPA amendment.

URGENT ACTION: Critical vote this week!

Posted on March 29, 2011 by Donald Ferguson

Dear ATP Supporter,

By the time you read this the Senate could have voted to let the EPA enact federal carbon dioxide caps.

Top Senate leaders met behind closed doors Monday to plan out a series of votes this week on stopping the EPA from implanting a series of federal caps on carbon dioxide emissions that would kill jobs and send utility and food prices even higher.

However, Gang Green plans to throw a monkeywrench into the works.

Sen. Max Baucus (D-MT,) a job-killing Gang Green puppet, plans to introduce a sham amendment that only lifts certain, limited agriculture businesses from carbon dioxide caps.

Make no mistake.  The Max Baucus amendment is a scam.

The idea is to let vulnerable Gang Green puppets up for election next year vote to “protect” farmers, even though we all know the exemptions will quickly be lifted and farmers will be cracked down upon once the election is over.

That would then allow enough senators to abandon the REAL amendment so it will fail.

The EPA would then barrel ahead on carbon dioxide caps that kill jobs and jack up prices.

The votes are THIS WEEK.  Possibly even today.

Time is running out.

Can I count on you to do two urgent actions?

1) Call your two senators at 202-224-3121.  Tell them to vote NO on the Baucus EPA amendment and YES on the McConnell/Inhofe EPA amendment.

2) Go here or to and chip in $500, $250, $100, $50, $35 or just $10?  American Tradition Partnership is going all-out this week to build support for the REAL amendment to kill the EPA’s carbon dioxide caps.

I will be on Capitol Hill this week to present more petitions from American Tradition Partnership members and supporters in opposition to the EPA’s many plans for carbon dioxide caps.

And I can guarantee you I’ll see Gang Green’s Gucci loafer-clad, silk-pocketed lobbyists twisting the arms of wavering senators to vote for Max Baucus’ fake scam amendment and against the REAL job-preserving, government-limiting amendment.

I need you there with me, either with your support or on the phone.

So please, take just a moment to call, or go here or and rush your most generous gift of $500, $250, $100, $50, $35 or just $10 to support this emergency effort.

Max Baucus’s scam is a real threat to our jobs and freedoms.  The EPA’s carbon dioxide caps don’t change the planet’s temperature one but, but they will send our economy and freedoms into a deep freeze.

So help me turn up the heat.  The Senate could vote as early as Tuesday.

So please act today.

P.S.  Senate leaders met behind closed doors yesterday to plan a series of votes on amendments to stop the EPA from implementing federal caps on carbon dioxide that will kill jobs and send food and energy prices sky-high.

But Gang Green puppet Sen. Max Baucus (D-MT) wants to kill the effort by introducing a scam amendment that pretends to protect jobs, but does virtually nothing, allowing Gang Green’s endangered senators to pretend to be pro-jobs, while doing nothing.

Time is running out to stop him.  Please call your two senators today, and Go here or to and chip in $500, $250, $100, $50, $35 or just $10 to help me stop the EPA’s job-slaughtering carbon dioxide caps.

Baucus CO2 amendment will choke life out of the economy

Posted on March 28, 2011 by Donald Ferguson

Senate leaders met today to plan a series of votes on amendments intended to block an attempt by radicals in the EPA to impose federal carbon dioxide caps on employers, The Hill reports this morning.

The first amendment likely to be voted on?  A false-front bill by Sen. Max Baucus (D-Mont.) intended to allow endangered Gang Green senators to claim they blocked the EPA’s plan, while still allowing it to barrel ahead, in their re-election races next year.

It’s the latest attempt by Baucus to expand government and protect bureaucrats, at the expense of Montanans and citizens around the country.

Baucus’ plan is to protect the EPA’s job-killing bureaucracy in D.C., while killing jobs across the country and in Montana, by draining votes from an amendment authored by Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.) that actually blocks the radical EPA scheme.

“After three decades in Washington, Max Baucus is protecting his friends in the EPA by killing jobs in Montana,” said American Tradition Partnership Executive Director Donald Ferguson.

Call your two senators right now at 202-224-3121 Tell them to vote NO on the Baucus EPA amendment and YES on the Inhofe EPA amendment.

Also, go here or to and chip in $500, $250, $100, $50, $35 or just $10?  American Tradition Partnership is going all-out this week to build support for the REAL amendment to kill the EPA’s carbon dioxide caps.

Rogue EPA messes with Texas

Posted on March 24, 2011 by Donald Ferguson

Texas officials ruled Tuesday Obama’s Environmental Protection Agency falsely accused a natural gas driller of contaminating water wells, the latest attempt by the rogue agency to attack the state’s jobs.

Scientific testing showed natural gas leaking into water wells did not match the gas being produced by the distant driller, but it had in fact leached up from natural rock formations, a common, and completely natural, occurrence, The Wall Street Journal reports.

Despite clear scientific proof natural gas drilling poses no threat to water supplies, Obama’s EPA embarked on a ruthless slander campaign intended to shut down hydrocarbon jobs.

“This is an example of overreaching at its worst,” said Railroad Commissioner Michael Williams, one of three elected commissioners who oversee oil and gas drilling, tells the Journal. The EPA “has a built-in bias against the fossil fuel energy industry.”  The Texas Railroad Commission regulates the state’s hydrocarbon industry.

“This isn’t the only showdown between Texas and the EPA. State officials have refused to comply with federal attempts to regulate greenhouse gases. The state attorney general has brought two lawsuits against the EPA to block its new greenhouse-gas rules, which require oil refineries and other emitters to reduce their emissions. Texas officials say the new rules are an attempt by the federal government to control industrial development and could choke economic growth,” the Journal reports.

Environmentalists caught lying in bid to destroy jobs. Yet again.

Posted on March 23, 2011 by Donald Ferguson

An Interior Department report released yesterday exposes a plan by a National Park Service scientist to misuse photographs in a bid to shut down jobs at the Drake’s Bay Oyster Company, the New York Times reports.

The 36-page report (found here) comes after an informant blew the whistle on attempts by Interior employees to falsify evidence in a bid to frighten people about oyster harvesting.  It finds Sarah Allen misused photographs to falsely claim oyster harvesting was harming seal populations at Point Reyes National Seashore.  The report also implicates five other Interior employees.

The Interior Department stopped short of saying it had done any wrong, declaring Allen “and her superiors — including Jon Jarvis, director of the National Park System — had not violated any law,” the Times reports.

“It’s not surprising that environmental radicals are once again lying in a bid to destroy jobs.  It’s also not surprising the Interior Department’s investigation of the Interior Department found the Interior Department did no wrong.  The fact the lies were so blatant they publicly admitted their own scientists falsified evidence suggests we need further investigation of this, and many, many other falsified enviro claims,” said American Tradition Partnership Executive Director Donald Ferguson.
