Judge Sherlock Grants Summary Judgment against Montana AG
BOZEMAN, MT — Plaintiffs’ attorney Margot Barg (representing American Tradition Partnership, Champion Painting and the Montana Shooting Sports Association,) with the Wittich Law Firm in Bozeman, stated she was pleased with Judge Sherlock’s ruling. “The Judge rejected the paternalistic argument of the Attorney General, and applied the US Supreme Court’s recent holding in Citizens United to strike down those portions of Montana’s law that chill political speech. It’s a win not only for the groups speaking, but all Montanans who benefit from a robust political dialogue so they can make fully informed decisions.”
