Vote on Baucus sham amendment, Inhofe EPA limits moved to Friday

Relentless in their campaign to drive up energy prices and maintain an iron grip on the White House, Gang Green’s multi-million dollar lobbyists pressured the White House today to further announce its opposition to an amendment by Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.) which would stop plans by Obama’s EPA activists to enact federally-mandated caps on carbon dioxide.

“The White House restated its opposition Thursday to GOP spending bill riders that would thwart administration environmental policies, comments that come amid rising fear among green groups that a budget deal could block climate change rules,” The Hill reports today.

“Gang Green jerked the puppet strings, and Obama’s mouth moved,” said American Tradition Partnership Executive Director Donald Ferguson.

Undeterred, ATP supporters have been calling the Senate all week to express support for the Inhofe amendment, and outright opposition to an attempt by Sen. Max Baucus (D-Mont.) to undercut with it an fake amendment that falsely claims to limit the EPA’s unchecked power.  Baucus, a Gang Green loyalist, hopes his amendment will allow vulnerable Gang Green puppets to falsely campaign as job supporters next year, as well as draw support away from the Inhofe amendment.

Faced with swarming opposition, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) has delayed a vote in hopes of fending off a challenge to unchecked bureaucratic power.

“American Tradition Partnership supporters and our allies have been burning up the Senate phone lines all week in opposition to Max Baucus’ sham of an amendment.  Harry Reid is delaying a vote because he doesn’t yet have sixty votes in favor of Baucus’ attempt to save EPA bureaucrats,” said Ferguson.
